Cena de fin de año The Tea Saloon

La cena de fin de año de The Tea Saloon  tuvo lugar el mes de Diciembre en el Restaurante Murano, en el barrio de Parque Rodó en Montevideo. Si bien el lugar no es muy grande, siempre hemos sido bien recibidos.

New Year's dinner of The Tea Saloon took place on December at Murano Restaurant in the neighborhood of Parque Rodo in Montevideo. While the place is not very big, we'd always been well received. 

Ah! Antes de comenzar nos pasó algo muy lol. Un turista entró de la nada preguntando por que tipo de trajes usábamos, o sea, porque nos vestíamos así, diriguiéndose sobretodo a los chicos. Nos preguntó si eramos de acá, si sabíamos ingles (?). Le dijimos que sí en ambos casos, medio desconcertados. A lo que nos respondió que el trabajó para Armani y fue sastre de Obama, que por eso preguntaba (???). Y concluyó con su frase memorable:. ¡¡Pero nadie es mejor que nadie,¿eh?! NADIE MEJOR QUE NADIE! repetía.. Muy surreal el asunto, sobretodo roque no se iba más!

Ah! Before the dinner, something hilarious happen lol. A tourist came out of nowhere wondering what kind of costumes we used, that is, why do we dressed like we do, making its way mostly to the boys. He asked if we were from here, if we knew English (?). We said yes in both cases, half bewildered. To which he replied that he worked for Armani and was Obama's tailor, that's why he approched us in the first place(???). He concluded with a memorable phrase :But no one is better than anyone, huh ?! NOBODY BETTER THAN ANYONE! repeated .. Very surreal, especially because he would not go away!

El día si bien hacía calor , se podía usar algo más recargado. Igual la sufrí un poco jejeje. Para la cena, escogí unos sorrentinos capresse, un vino cabernet sauvignon Cuna y de postre un crumble de dulce de leche.

The day was hot though you could still wear something more ornate. I suffered it a a bit anyway, lol. For dinner, I chose capresse sorrentinos, cabernet sauvignon wine Cuna and for dessert dulce de leche  crumble.

. En al reunión se hicieron varias actividades, entre las cuales se encontraba un concurso de máscaras , en cual este blog donó algunos de los premios <3.

The meeting had several activities, including a mask contest, in which this blog donated some of the awards <3 .

 Otra de las actividades fue un intercambio de accesorios. Este contaba en que cada asistente trajese un accesorio para intercambiar, así todos se llevarían algo lindo de recuerdo.

Another activity was an accesories exchanged . This counted in each attendee to bring an accessory to exchange, so everyone would take something as a souvenir.

In the end, we had a nice dinner, chatting and catching up.

Antes de ir tomé algunas fotos de los coords míos y de mi amiga Julia en la Parque Rodó que se encuentra casi en frente. Ya que tiene un lindo gasebo con una fuente que me hacía recordar a Venecia, o sea, Venecia + carnaval de Venecia = máscaras.

 Before going to the meetup, I took some photos of my coords and my friend Julia in Parque Rodo, located almost opposite to Murano. Since it has a cute gasebo with a fountain that reminded me of Venice, Venice+ Carnival = masks.

 Para la ocasión escogí usar el Memories of my First Soirée de BTSSB, que compré el año pasado cuando me gradué de la facultad. Lo tuve que agrandar ya que las medidas del site estaban mal, era mucho más chico. Cosa rara, ya que suelo entrar en los Baby con shirring nuevos, pero bue, creo que fue el tema de que era underbust.

For the occasion I chose to use the Memories of my First Soirée by BTSSB, I bought  it last year when I graduated from college. I had to enlarge since the measures of site were wrong, it was much smaller. Rare thing, since I usually fit the new Baby with shirring, but anyway, I think the issue was that it was underbust.

Para el concurso tunnie una máscara comprada con glitter, acrílico, flores y un festón que tenía. Quedé muy satisfecha con el resultado <3.

For the competition I tunned a  mask I'd  bought with glitter, acrylic, flowers and a festoon I had. I was very pleased with the outcome <3.

Mi cumpleaños 2014

Este post tratará sobre los festejos de mi cumpleaños 2014 que incluyeron ropa loli <3.

This post will focus on the celebration of my 2014's birthday which included lolita fashion.

Samsara

El primer festejo fue con Pablo y Laia, ambos casualmente de Maldonado (otro departamento de Uruguay). Para la ocasión escogí Samsara, un pequeño local de buffet vegetariano ubicado en Cuidad Vieja donde los viernes preparan los chivitos veggie más deliciosos ever!

The first celebration was with Pablo and Laia, both casually  from Maldonado (Another state of Uruguay ). For the occasion I chose Samsara, a small local vegetarian buffet located in Cuidad Vieja where on fridays they serve the modt delicious veggie chivitos ever!

Hay que ir temprano porque se llena! Como cortesía de cumpleaños me invitaron el postre, un exquisito cheesecake de maracuyá. 

Go early because it fills up! As a courtesy invited me birthday dessert, a delicious passion fruit cheesecake.

Tea Party

Entre los dulces compré unas masitas en Las Gaviotas, macarons en Late Chocolates (que fue todo un lió porque no procesaron mi pedido que hice con 3 días de anticipación, al menos tenían algunos en stock pero yo quería probar todos los sabores ;_;). También hice cupcakes, mi primera vez haciendo cupcakes, hice montones siguiendo al recetas de Eugeen Kitchen pero el frosting con forma de rosa no me salió ni remotamente parecido. Traté de improvisar y fue peor, así que luego de tirar como 3 tandas de frosting fallido opte por dejar algunos como magdalenas-cupcakes. Agregué frutas también como frutillas y arándanos para tener opciones más livianas. La torta es de El Club Brasilero, un dacquoise de coco.

Among the sweets I bought some pastries in Las Gaviotas, macarons in Late Chocolates (which was a bundled because they did not process my order I made 3 days in advance, at least they had some in stock but I wanted to try all the flavors; _;) . I also made cupcakes, my first time making cupcakes, I made heaps following the recipy of Eugeen Kitchen, but the rose shaped pink frosting  didn't came out remotely similar. I tried to improvise and made it worse, so after pulling as 3 sets of failed frosting I choose to leave them as cupcakes-like-muffins . I also added  fruits like strawberries and blueberries to have lighter options. The cake was Club Brasilero's  coconut dacquoise.

Entre lo salado habian sandwiches de queso, choclo y queso (?) y de roquefort , nueces y apio. Hice unos sandwiches rústicos capresse con pan batta, scones de queso y comunes. Además, mi madre y hermana me hicieron unas mini tartaletas saladas de queso con ciboulett y mayonesa con perejil. Todo vegetariano.

Among salty optins, there was cheese sandwiches, corn and cheese mixed up (?) And roquefort, walnuts and celery. I made some rustic capress sandwiches  with batta bread, scones and cheese scons. Also, my mother and sister made me some savory mini tarts  with cream cheese and ciboulett and parsley with  mayonnaise. Everything vegetarian.

Para tomar jugo de naranja y té Twinnigns e Inti Zen en mi colección de tacitas multi-locas. 

For  drinking there was orange juice and Twinnigns and Inti Zen tea, I used my collection of multi-crazy cups.

Para vestir opté por estrenar un coord con mi Masquerade Theatre de AATP, una re-edición que logré adquirir hace unos meses. 

To dress I chose to use for the first time my Masquerade Theatre of AATP, a re-issue that I managed to acquire a few months ago.

Pasamos la tarde conversando y luego fuimos al frente a sacar algunas fotos de recuerdo, ya vamos 4 años sacando las mismas fotos <3.  

We spent the afternoon talking and then went to the front to take some souvenir photos, and let four years taking the same pictures <3.

Luego brindamos con anna fizz y jugamos al Lolitopoly, increíble versión del monopoly lolita hecho por Frou Frous  .

Then we make a toast with fizz anna and played Lolitopoly, amazing version of monopoly lolita done by Frou Frous.

Fue genial ver en vez de los barrios las respectivas marcas, pero no solo eso, las cartas de Casualidad y Suerte también estaban buenísimas,cosas como joderse con la mala cotización de la moneda o haber vendido algo con manchas y tener que devolver el dinero. Cosas que solo chicas metidas en al moda pueden hacer con mucho cariño, ya que se nota el trabajo puesto. Mismo armarlo llevó su tiempo y dinero, hacerlo debió se rmcho más complejo, pero también, espero, divertido. 

It was great to see the neighborhoods as the respective brands, but not only that, the letters of Chance and Luck were o awersome with things like " got fucked up with bad convertion currency" or sold something with spots and having to pay it back. Things like that show that the girls behind it where deep into lolita fashion, all the hard work shows that they must love what they did . Just build it up took quite some time and money, doing it must have been much more complex, but also, I hope, some fun.

Algunos de los regalitos <3

Amo el musical del Fantasma de la Opera, por ende hace años que estaba el Masquerade Theatre en mi wishlist. Para la ocasión usé un hermoso bolero OTT que me prestó nati, caravanas con máscaras que me regaló Julia , medias con arañas y el pelo con rulo recogido para atrás como Kristine.

I love the Phantom of the Opera's musical, hence for years I'v got the Masquerade Theatre on my wishlist. For the occasion I wore a beautiful bolero OTT I borrowed from Nati, earings of little masks, which were a present from Julia, stockings with chandeliers and the hair with curl back as Kristine.
